Sun 22nd February
This morning we got up and had breakfast in the hotel, it was a fairly standard buffet which was slightly disappointing for Rob as he always likes an omelette! We then bought the Gibraltar pass for Monday so we could see all the main attractions; it costs £70 each and includes a bus tour. You can also do a similar package with one of the many taxi drivers (you can find them in town easily.)
We headed out of the hotel for a look around and ended up walking up the rock, to the point where you have to pay for entry (we will see that bit tomorrow), it was a fairly steep walk so got a bit of a workout in!
We then walked back down and went through the commonwealth park, and onto the Navy yard.
Rob had a lamb roast and I had fish and chips, we both had brownies for dessert.
We lost count of how many people were turned away while we were there! Our bill including tip was just under £60.
We then went for a quick walk to check out the pick-up location for our tour tomorrow before popping back to the room for a little rest!
We decided to get drinks at bridge bar which was just across from our hotel. It was quite expensive but the bar was in the sun so that was nice.
We then decided to get ice cream at Haagen Dazs Rob had vanilla and strawberry cheesecake, I had peanut butter crunch and cookies & cocoa. These were very tasty!
My notes came to an end here but I’m fairly sure we watched a bit more of the Olympics before bed.
