6th June
We had breakfast in the hotel again, we had seen the
actual price and so tipped a little more today even though our upgrade cost was
only $7 so our total cost today was $16.
We decided to move our MK day to tomorrow as it was
already looking gloomy and the rain was expected to arrive later in the day. So
I cancelled our fast passes and rebooked for the next day. They were the 3
mountains in the early afternoon and there was availability for the mine train
for the late evening if I had wanted it (but I had that booked for another day.)
I also made a dinner reservation at Sanaa and
cancelled the one that I had planned for Tuesday.
We decided instead to do more shopping and as it
wasn’t yet raining we headed to Disney Springs first and took a look in the new
(and old) shops.
After that we went to Mall at Millenia as it was
inside and therefore protected from the rain. We had a good wander around and
during our day got Rob new work trousers, shirts and shoes which was good.
At some point we stopped and got a slice of pizza each
at Sbarro for a snack.
Finally I got a lovely dress in Anthropologie for just
under $150 which is a bit expensive but it is super cute, just need some nice
weather so that I can wear it!
When we left the rain had already started and traffic
on I4 was terrible on the way back as a result.
We lounged around the room until it was time for
dinner when we headed over to the AKL.
We had our standard selection which includes the bread
service then tandoori chicken for me and the slow cooked chicken and beef for
Rob plus some yummy desserts. 3 courses was just under $100 with DVC discount
including tip.
Rain and winds were picking up when we were getting
ready for bed, there was quite a lot of rain overnight but thankfully Colin
didn’t really have a big impact on our trip.
