This morning we were awake about 8am, by the time we got ready Luminae was closed and so we had breakfast at the buffet.
We both had omelettes which were made to order
We got all of our swimming stuff sorted and popped it all into our handy tote bag that Celebrity had provided (didn’t even know we needed one but it turns out we did!) and headed out to Coco Cay, we went back to South Beach which is where we went last time.
There were loads of loungers which was a bit of a surprise as there was another ship in port but we easily got a nice quiet spot near the private cabanas (that we are too poor to rent!)
We spent several hours just lounging and swimming and getting the occasional soft drink - it’s a hard life!
We came back to the ship at about 3pm and showered and then went to get a snack because we had somehow managed to miss lunch.
Rob had pizza obviously and I found some sandwiches and cake
We then obviously had to pop to the retreat lounge before taking a quick walk around the track, I am pretty sure we had started to sail away and so my walk (on my peloton app) looked like I was running!
We again had dinner at luminae (spoiler alert we never go to the main dining room) where I had salad and pasta.
Rob had crab cake and also the pasta.
This was followed by the chocolate ganache and Rob had chocolate cake and ice cream.
During our meal I had a mocktail and Rob had a bourbon and peach drink which the sommelier suggested to him.
We were awake at about 8am so we got ready and packed our stuff back in our bags (we obviously hadn’t unpacked again.
We went down to get breakfast, Rob had a muffin and probably a juice and I had an almond croissant with a mocha.
Shockingly this included a 15% gratuity so breakfast was $25!
We had breakfast at our table in our room because when you have a table that looks like it should be in a boardroom why not?!
We gathered our stuff and went down to book our uber; it was very busy but we got one in just a couple of minutes.
We actually walked down the drive to meet him because the front of the hotel was mayhem with shuttles going in all directions. The uber was about $50 inc tip.
The trip to the port was fairly busy, we think there were a couple of breakdowns that added to the traffic, we counted about 5 ships in port as we drove in.
We arrived and headed to the “Retreat” entrance where we had a very different experience to our previous cruises.
We were invited to sit to do check in, our passports and estas were checked and then we were allowed to board.
Once on board we went to our muster station and scanned in, we then took our hand luggage to our cabin where we were greeted by our butler Mahender and then almost immediately by our cabin attendant Hemraj.
Our cabin was already “ready” which we weren’t expecting so I took some photos before we spoiled it
We dropped our bags and went up to deck 14 to get some pizza.
After pizza we explored the decks and somehow ended up with cake and coffee on deck 4 and Rob had his first cocktail (although it had coffee in which he didn’t realise.)
We explored some more and headed back to our cabin around 1430 where we discovered our bags had arrived.
So, we unpacked and then went up to the retreat lounge for a drink during sail away. Rob had his second cocktail which he preferred to the first one.
We went to the spa raffle (which once again we didn’t win) then had a quick look around the shops before getting ready for dinner.
We went to luminae, which is a suite only restaurant, where we had:
Rob: beef short rib, NY strip and chocolate napoleon
Lizzi: Caesar salad, lasagne and hazelnut cake plus a caramel latte
After dinner we did a walk around the walking track followed by a couple of raffles in the shops – which again we didn’t win!
