We want some luxury and relaxation...so Florida and a cruise :) Day 4

Thursday

This morning we were awake at about 7am, we woke up before our alarm which was unusual (but turns out to be a good thing).

We got ready and packed up the few things we had unpacked as we had been living out of packing cubes for the first couple of days.

We got muffins and drinks from downstairs before gathering our bags.

Literally just as we were leaving the water broke so it was a good job we woke up early! Apparently, it was out across the city, which made sense once we saw how heavy the rain was.

We called an uber to Fort Lauderdale airport, cost was about $40 I think, it was quite wet on the drive to the airport but we arrived reasonably quickly.

We headed up Alamo to collect our car, we booked a premium pickup via Andy and they tried to convince us to take a different car (a crossover which we think is a lower class and not what Rob wanted).

We insisted on the pickup and were shortly allocated a Chevy Silverado so Rob was happy, we were returning the car at Miami so maybe that was why they were reluctant to let us have it?

The drive took about 3 hours 30 including a stop for lunch, we did use the turnpike as it was about an hour faster according to google maps, I think we paid about $20 in tolls.

We arrived at Bay Lake just before 3pm and were allocated a room on the 9th Floor which was already available, we brought our bags up and unpacked what we need for our 2 nights here.

We then got ready and headed to Sana’a for dinner, slightly annoyingly we had to wait for almost 30 mins before we were seated but food was brilliant as always.

We had the breads (just naans as always) then I had the curry with chicken (and couldn’t finish it) while Rob had a steak for a change.

We both had the giraffe cake for dessert because it was the best option last time.

Our total cost was about $140 inc tip after DVC discount.

We then headed back to BLT where we saw the end of the fireworks before bed (if we hadn’t waited 30 mins I’d have seen the whole display  )
