Here we go again... a short notice November trip! Update :)

So, we decided upon Pop Century...!

Rob decided that he would like the ability to charge our spending to our room and so that is only really possible with the magicbands.

I managed to get almost £50 in cash back (hopefully) and so it will only cost £422.

We also booked the premier inn at Heathrow with parking for only £92 (with £13 cash back so really only £79) and a hotel at Palm Beach using our Hilton points (driving there from Miami).

I've also booked tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and bought 4 day park tickets on a DVC offer.

Car hire booked and some dollars picked up for petrol and tips etc :)

And I've planned our itinerary :)

Day 1: Fly Heathrow to Miami and then drive to hotel at Palm Beach

Day 2: Drive from Palm Beach to Pop Century. Depending on time of arrival maybe do some shopping

Day 3: Epcot for the day, early dinner at ESPN club before illuminations

Day 4: Animal Kingdom then dinner at Sanaa

Day 5: Magic Kingdom day with lunch at The Plaza

Day 6: Character breakfast at Ravello (in the Four Seasons hotel) then probably shopping - might watch Wishes from Top of the World lounge

Day 7: Relaxing morning then MVMCP - I've booked FP+ from 4 - 7 so plan on arriving at 4 to make the most of the ticket

Day 8: Hollywood Studios for the afternoon/evening, early dinner at Sci Fi diner then plan on seeing the Osbourne lights last thing before park closing

Day 9: Drive back to Miami to fly home

Here we go again... a short notice November trip!

I know what you must all be thinking... another trip?!

As some of you will remember we have already been to WDW twice this year (Feb and June) along with trips to Barcelona, Greece and just last month... Barbados!

Having returned from our lovely relaxing trip to Barbados I have had a tough couple of weeks at work (nothing serious just typical work issues) and Rob and I started looking at when we would go on holiday next.

Two possible windows appeared in the work calendar - early November and early January...

We started looking at options and following the 'cheeky not so bargain trip' I decided to try and be less extravagant this time.

We got flights using our Virgin miles to Miami for £500 and I'm now trying to finalise hotels. We will stay somewhere on the way up for the first night and then I have the following shortlist for our 7 nights in Orlando (all prices in £):

Buena Vista Palace 392
Hilton WDW 652
Holiday Inn WDW 437
B Resort 489
Best Western LBV 336
Wyndham LBV 405
Doubletree LBV 712
Pop Century 472

I'm leaning towards staying at one of the DtD hotels and based on price vs reviews online I'm favouring the Wyndham but would welcome any opinions.

Pop century is included as we would get free parking and access to extra magic hours but I'm not sure if that makes enough difference as the other hotels are better quality (I think).
