Short notice trip? Ok, lets go the day after tomorrow! Day 7

12th March

So during the night we discovered why are room was available so early – it was incredibly noisy as it was above the reception/bar area and the atrium appears to amplify noise. If we had known before then we would have requested a room in a different location…!

This morning we had breakfast in the hotel, on Sundays they have a character buffet and as Hilton Gold members they give a free continental breakfast. Rob likes to upgrade to the full breakfast and with tip this costs around $15 I think. Disappointingly we only saw 1 character this time (Pluto).

We did manage to arrange a slightly late check out so we had a little more time to finish re-packing and we watched a little bit more of our favourite shows before we left.

As we had time to spare we headed back to the Vineland Road Premium Outlets, we also tried to visit the one at I Drive but there was no parking!

After a little shopping we started to get hungry so went back to Disney Springs, we popped into Planet Hollywood but got told off for trying to use the wrong side of the staircase (no logic just rude!) and so decided not to bother seeing if they had any tables available.

We did debate trying one of the other new quick serve places but who are we kidding….one last Earl of Sandwich for us!

We couldn’t resist a last bit of shopping before collecting bags from hotel, I’m fairly sure I bought a Wishes picture for my Disney room.

We had a quiet drive and arrived at the airport at 1800, we dropped our bags off and then took a stroll around.

We headed through security at 1900 before getting a hot chocolate for me for the wait.

Around 1940 were sat at the gate when a virgin guy was casually wandering around asking if people were going to Gatwick. Apparently we could get on when ready...!

We had the back row in the upper deck, which was a novelty for us. The flight was really quiet again...170 on board, with hindsight we probably should have picked a row downstairs as we would have had a row of 4 each easily.

We ate our meal and then went to sleep, it was much less noisy than the main cabin which did help us get some rest. The breakfast I thought wasn’t too bad – a hot pastry and fruit and yoghurt which is better than the BA version which always has a cold croissant.

We actually arrived at Gatwick early (0830) which I think is the first time that has ever happened and were through with bags by 0910.

We bought some hot drinks and a toastie for Rob for breakfast as his parents had not yet arrived. They arrived shortly after and we had a nice easy drive home and the whirlwind was over!
