The “We aren’t going to Florida again for a long time!” Trip - Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

We had a lazy start with breakfast and coffee on the patio.

We then went to Disney Springs for lunch at The Boathouse. They brought some bread to start which was very tasty.

I asked if I could get the Duck cocktail made without alcohol but apparently it wasn’t possible

Rob ordered steak (medium), and the filet mignon sliders (well done) for me.

They arrived and were the wrong way round, our server and the manager came and offered to redo them but we didn’t want to waste the food.

I gave Rob one of my sliders and he cut me off some of his steak so that fixed it 🤣

We ordered chocolate layer cake for 2 for dessert which came with vanilla ice cream.

It was absolutely giant and we took over half away with us.

They discounted dessert so with a generous tip (our server was so apologetic) we paid $85.

We did a little bit of shopping (I managed to get a small duck in the shop) then back to room to rest.

Tonight we were headed to the Magic Kingdom for the Halloween party, I totally forgot that Carousel of Progress and the railroad closed at 1700 so missed them

We did try and get there once I realised but we were just too late 🤦

We collected our bags and first treats via the bypass then rode Peoplemover and the Speedway both of which had short waits.

Rob got us boarding group 160 in the 6pm Tron drop and they were already at 130 so we knew we would get called quickly.

It had started to lightly rain so we got a quick drink in Cosmic Rays to cool off and miss the drizzle.

I picked up my Halloween pin and then our Tron group was called, it took us at least 20 mins not like yesterday morning.

We then rode Buzz Lightyear (Rob won again!) before a massive rainstorm.

We sheltered in Monsters Inc (as that was the closest indoor space when it started) which was a treat trail.

We both filled our bags as we went through repeatedly to avoid the rain; were there for probably 30 mins and a friendly cast member found it hilarious.

The rain slowed and so we headed to Frontierland and the Emporium looking for a particular pin (didn’t find it).

We decided to watch the first parade from Frontierland (in case of more rain which might delay or cancel the 2nd one) before getting a drink from the shop next to pirates.

We went to find a spot for the fireworks and managed to find a space in the garden in front of Casey’s.

We did a little more trick or treating to avoid the departing crowds and then our final ride was It’s a Small World.

We walked out at 2350, and got a boat home - although there were other people on board this time!

Our candy - the little rucksack also contains candy 🤣
