Now for something completely different... August with 5 first timers! Day 9 & 10

Two days in one here as I apparently only took photos of the food!

20th August

Today we got up around 0900, this was our first ever waterpark day (Rob and I have never visited one on our own). We had selected Blizzard Beach and arrived at the park at about 1130.

It was reasonably busy (not entirely unexpected as it was a Sunday) but we found sunbeds etc ok. We split up so that Amy could go to a smaller section and the boys somewhere a bit bigger, then met in the middle (Ski Patrol?)

We spent a few hours overall including a float in the lazy river, we bought a couple of flatbreads and some chicken strips for a snack which kept us going

We left around 1500 and headed back to the villa to shower and change and then we headed out for something to eat. We chose Applebees as it gave a nice variety of options for everyone, it was quite quiet as we were fairly early.

We had a nice meal and were planning a return trip to Hollywood Studios but it had started raining during dinner and so we decided against it (spoiler alert – we never did make it back so only made the one visit!)

21st August

Our original plan for today was to visit Kennedy Space Center but we changed it due to the eclipse as we were concerned it would be too busy and that there would be loads of traffic. The new plan: shopping!

We woke up a little later (between 9 and 10 I think) and I had cake for breakfast! Totally healthy but we are on holiday so that makes it acceptable

We left the villa at around 1pm and decided to start at the Vineland Outlets as Rob and I had a list of things we needed. We split up so that the kids didn’t get bored following us into all of the clothes shops.

After about 3 hours we had got everything we wanted and the kids had spent their holiday money. We took the bags back to the villa before going across to Mall at Millenia, Rob needed new work clothes which he got at Banana Republic (we find they have a better selection of shirts etc than the outlets).

I wandered around Pottery Barn wishing I could take stuff back home for the house, I also had a look at Anthropologie but there was nothing that took my fancy this time

We decided on dinner at NYPD pizza which is one of Rob’s favourites. The kids all found something they liked and it was a reasonable price for all of us.

We popped into Target on the way home to pick up some bread and other little bits.
